Jaylen Brown Sets the Tone, Derrick White Stays Hot from Deep, Celtics Dominate

The Boston Celtics continued to put on a show in the NBA Playoffs on Wednesday night, dominating the Cleveland Cavaliers 120-95 in Game 1 of their Eastern Conference semifinal series.

Jaylen Brown set the tone for the Celtics early on, scoring 12 points in the first quarter and finishing the game with a team-high 26 points. Derrick White also stayed hot from deep, hitting 5-of-10 from three-point range and finishing with 22 points.

The Celtics led by as many as 23 points in the first half and never looked back, shooting 50.6% from the field and holding the Cavaliers to just 40.2% shooting.

Jayson Tatum also had a strong game for the Celtics, scoring 23 points and grabbing 10 rebounds. Robert Williams III added 10 points and 11 rebounds, while Marcus Smart chipped in with 10 points and 7 assists.

Donovan Mitchell led the Cavaliers with 27 points, while Darius Garland added 19 points and 9 assists. Jarrett Allen also had a solid game with 16 points and 12 rebounds.

The Celtics will look to take a 2-0 lead in the series when they host the Cavaliers in Game 2 on Friday night.
