Zach Arnett, born September 10, 1986, has been promoted to full-time head coach at Mississippi State. Arnett previously served as the Bulldogs' defensive coordinator, where he led the team to impressive defensive performances.
Since the start of the 2018 season, Arnett's defense has ranked highly in the Southeastern Conference (SEC). In 2021, the Bulldogs ranked third in total defense, allowing 352.3 yards per game. In 2020, they ranked fourth with 380.3 yards per game. Prior to that, in 2019, they ranked 11th with 419.3 yards per game.
Arnett's promotion to full-time head coach was announced on December 15, 2022, at 10:52 AM ET. His appointment is a testament to his success as defensive coordinator and his ability to lead a team to defensive excellence.
