World Turtle Day on May 23, 2024, will be a day to celebrate the habitat and lifestyle of turtles and tortoises and their important role in the development of our planet.
Turtles and tortoises are different creatures even though sometimes they are mistaken for one another. World Turtle Day was first observed in 2000 and has been celebrated annually since then.
