The Toronto Maple Leafs have announced the hiring of Derek Clancey as assistant general manager of player personnel. Clancey, a seasoned NHL executive, brings a wealth of experience to the Leafs organization.
Clancey previously worked with the Vancouver Canucks as an executive, playing a pivotal role in player personnel decisions for 14 seasons. He also spent the 2021-22 season as a pro scout for the Calgary Flames.
The 54-year-old Clancey is a highly respected figure in the NHL. His extensive experience and proven track record will be a valuable asset to the Maple Leafs as they look to build a contending team.
